CrossCountry Marketing (“CCM”) was founded in 1994 and is now owned by Sharon Britton.  The company is headquartered just outside of Richmond, Virginia in Mechanicsville and currently represents approximately 17 companies, which produce a broad array of retail packaged specialty foods, as well as some food service items.   


CCM’s territory for direct ship/wholesale business is New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, DC, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  In addition, the company markets to regional and national specialty food distributors that service the natural, organic, grocery, and specialty sections of supermarkets and independent stores.  CCM currently has products in Blue Mountain Distributors, Farmer’s Plate, and Virginia Heritage.  

The company team consists of four (4) independent sales representatives who are responsible for direct ship/wholesale sales to specialty stores, farm markets, gift basket companies, etc.  Our sales representatives and their areas of responsibility are as follows: 

*Russ Amend – Northern and Western Virginia. Maryland
*Chris Lucas – North Carolina, to include Outer Banks, and South Carolina
*Patrizia Rizzi – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware
*Alexa Rizzi – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut, and Maryland
*Sharon Britton – Virginia, Outer Banks, NC, and Select Accounts 

Russ worked as an independent sales rep for a specialty food distributor for over 30 years, as well as being a rep for several brokers and well-known vendors.  In addition, he was a confection retailer, and is knowledgeable when it comes to his customers’ needs and industry trends. 

Chris has been in specialty food and confection sales for the past 20 years.  He has been a professional chef for restaurants and hotels, as well as a specialty retail manager, and grocery buyer.  Chris’s experience working for well-known retailers and distributors is a welcome addition to the CCM team. 

Patrizia has been in the business of specialty food and consulting for over 17 years…9 of which she has owned a specialty food brokerage firm representing some of the most prestigious lines in the country.  She brings to her customers a wealth of knowledge both in domestic and imported products.  Patrizia is committed to the success of her vendors and customers alike and is dedicated to continuous research to ensure that her customers have the best selection of new and now products on their selling floor. 

Alexa has over 5 years of sales and marketing experience in both domestic and international specialty food markets.  She excels in providing all around support for her customers and is insightful when it comes to trending products.  Alexa’s goal is to increase customer and vendor sales by carefully analyzing product potential in different regions and markets.

 Sharon came on board with CCM in 1999 as office manager.  Since becoming the owner of CCM in 2011, Sharon is always looking for quality product lines to represent and to assist in growing sales.  CCM also looks for regional distributors to partner with to further increase sales of vendors’ products.
